At some point Google will have the ultimate : information. A few weeks ago I was thinking about all this information that Google has and some day they might monetize huge from the sort of information they have on people, businesses, social relations, people’s preferences and more.

Good article,
@TomaBonciu

It’s pretty amazing how much information is readily attainable, but the way our country operates it has become a necessity to be involved in current technology…double edged sword!

It is not just Google who knows all this amazing . Most of these examples’ are published to the world. We all know this information about each other. We are changing fundamentally as a society. We will get over our trepidation and realize this all for the common good. Or you could go live in a cave. The internet is a social place. Walled gardens will continue to exist, but just like any neighborhood there will be security holes and will continue to be exposed, but really who cares if the world knows I took a look at Erotic Services on craigs. I don’t.

I think that there are other (non commercial) players that knows even more…

I like this article espacially because everybody focus on like big brother watching you but in fact the real big brother is google itself 😉

Recently, Google has started reciving more user using its live map feed etc. I am not sure how Google will manage privacy if it can have access to such a huge amount of information.

If information gives you , then Google is very nearly a god. And for more interesting reading about what Google w with your information, just take a look at their TOS. Cheers!

has recently been taking a lot of heat for its privacy policies or whatnot… but I also think it’s about time that people start taking a really closer look at what Google is doing with our information.

This doesn’t surprise me at all… As much information lots of people give to google and how much info they get when their spiders index the web they should know a lot about a lot of people, but thats just my 2 cents…

cool!

dose google knows what club or bar I was last week, i was to drunk to remember the place?

p.s.
if you feel violated by google would be better to go out more often, get out from house and go to live life, and
be sure that google will not follow you

wow!! google is everywhere.. maybe they are spying us right.. right now!! xD

google moves the world..
regards!
Josue

And last week I saw that Google now have pictures of my house, my car parked outside and my next door neighbor in her garden in Edinburgh, UK all in Google maps when you enter my postcode!

I’m not sure I I liked that or not.

Here’s a BBC news report on it http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7952317.stm

They have already had to remove some damaging pictures of individuals.

I completely agree with those of you who are tired of hearing how is “” our information. Of course they are! It amazes me that more people didn’t realize this before. Boys and Girls…Welcome to Internet 101. The information that you share on online is no longer private from the minute you hit send. Big Surprise! Just what are we trying to hide anyway? 😉

It’s pretty scary when you make a .

I think I know less about myself than Google, as I can’t remember where I keep my files, and never seem to be able to find the good webpages I visited last week.

Great … makes you think …

Hi,

Well, i wonder what happens after everything is controlled by google…Are we all washed away?

Ben

Yea, it’s pretty scary considering what all information is available for online.

Googling is the t. Are they really googling us? Well, I am not surprised by what they knew about the last link we had read, etc…I am surprised that they have an access to my files. Really? And that is pretty scary. Is this an invasion of privacy? Well maybe yes and maybe no. Professionally, they should know what they are doing.

This is bad but good thing I am not using Google desktop.

@ Josue: “snapshot of the page as it appeared on 25 Mar 2009 08:41:57 GMT” This page has been cached… Google is watching you 😛

Yeah, it is pretty scary what Google may know about any of us. But lets face it, most of that info we have offered up ourselves without realizing it. When last did “Joe the plumber” hehehehehe read a TOS? Privacy Policy?

Google’s tools all come at a cost.

Wow…and we thought CCTV was “Big Brother” – Google is well beyond monitoring us on the streets (which they do!) they’re in our homes, families, friends…and minds!

Forget being worried about retina scanning..

The fact that Google has ALMOST more information on all of us than most of us realize. Wheww!

i don’t think any of us have any idea how much google actually knows there set is unbelevible!!

Google is absoutely disgusting. I regret even having the gmail account attached to me right now. They are just abunch of spies and I once saw a news report with people chasing their maps s away from their street! Google has other plans for all our information.

Evil i tell ya Evil.

Kind Regards

Its a good thing, I have been suffering from Alzheimer’s and I need to refer to their banks for stuff I forgot. Like what food I like, what research I did last week on incontinence protection, how my colonoscopy went, why do I suffer from irritable bowel syndrome, and of course the conspiracy theory of microwave ovens.

Thank you, Google, for keeping track.
