Hi, my name is Carmel and it is strange to be here.  I had to be taken to hospital recently with another supposed asthma attack, and a chest x ray said I must have asthma as I have a lesion on my left lung. Previously another consultant had told me that he did nto think I had asthma, and I had put my symptoms down to the GERD that has been diagnosed as definite, seen with camera down throat and stomach. I am worried about this lesion as I am 61, have never smoked or been around smokers. My local doctors nurse told me that she didnt think there is any reason to worry about cancer as the referring doctor at the hospital had not fast tracked it. But I am still very worried.

Hi CarmelB,

Welcome to the forum.

I can understand this would still worry you, but it’s nice that your local nurse was reassuring. There isn’t a lot you can do, but keep it out of mind. I know it’s hard but try not to worry about it all you can do is wait for your doctor’s thoughts on it. Some of these tips here could help.

Best wishes,

Moderator Anastasia
