I had a mole removed 3 weeks ago. It had appeared out of nowhere about 3 or 4 years ago and was getting bigger and bigger. I did go to the Doctor a few years back and was told it looked fine, I went again a few months ago and happened to mention the mole again. This Doctor referred me straight to the hospital and a few weeks later it was removed. Now I have just received a letter telling me I have another appointment for the hospital this Wednesday and I am really nevous. I thought if everything was OK I’d get a letter, is it normal to have to go back to hospital if the results are good?

Hi and thanks for posting
It’s difficult to know as every hospital is a bit different in the way they give out their results.
It’s possible that they just want to go over the results with you – there may have been some changes to the mole without there necessarily being a cause for concern.
I’m afraid it’s going to be a case of not letting your thoughts run away with you and waiting for the appointment, which I appreciate is not going to be easy- it’s always hard waiting for results.
I hope all goes well
All the best
Wanda

Thank you Wanda. In the meantime I’ll try and stay positive. Only 1 day to go.
