Hello. I’m an alcoholic. About a year ago my doctor thrown me out of his clinic because i’m not a very nice person. in that time, it was Covid anyway and i have just been at home as i’m diabetic and am very anxious so i’m on medications for anxiety on repeat prescription but i’m not registered with the gp anymore. Thing is, there’s a grapefruit-size lump inside me just above my belly button and i’m so scared about it. it dont hurt and you cant see it on me but i’m scared its cancer and i dont know who to talk to. Can anyone help me? i’m crying when i write this.

Hi there,

The best thing would be to discuss this with your GP as they will be best placed to advise. You may need to register with a new GP first, but you can always call the surgery to check.

We do have nurses available on 0808 800 4040 (Monday-Friday, 9-5) so you can give them a call if you’re worried, although please note they are not able to diagnose.

All the best,

Ben
