Kindness, not harshness
………………………………………………………………………………..
For the love of all that is holy, why are we so darn hard on ourselves? And why do we let others do upon us, what we would not do upon ourselves?
Why not fine chocolate? Why not fine chocolate and wine, serving ourselves abundantly because gosh darn it, we deserve it! We deserve to be there for us! Life is hard enough, and there is absolutely no reason why we should bestow any further affliction upon ourselves or others.
We live in a fast-paced society, in and out, running marathons, the marathons of life, isn’t that enough to warrant kindness towards ourselves and others?
When we need to simmer down and wind down, why not take the time to be an honest citizen of life. Let us let ourselves find well-being, at the very least, from time to time, but I’d say much more!
Life has beaten you down, I get that.
Trust me I understand it very well, the kind of -far-too-many-years of experienced it well. I allowed myself to be mistreated outwardly and inwardly, in-depth and out of depth, at work and in the home, forget me not’s and love lullabies.
I could write a book about my life and most would not believe it, the stuff-that-I-have-been-through. And, I am sure that most of us can recall, in great detail, what we’d rather not recall, too.
Life is strange, and sometimes very difficult to deal with.
The constant stream of life is asking us to recognize that we are worth our own time and effort, that we are interconnected human beings, never alone and never, ever running out of ways to solve complex dilemmas.
Despite how harsh life can seem to us, despite tragic circumstances, life begs us to respond with compassion and kindness. We’ve witnessed the highest atrocities and genocide;
The way I see it, mankind has only one way to move forward from here, if we want anything to change. And that is a better way of understanding ourselves and others.
More compassion and less harshness in our lives~ whatever happened to self-love?
Have we forgotten the fine art of not falling apart?
Epsom Salts and all, we must be willing to take the salt baths of time to ourselves and for ourselves, outside of the bill paying periods and all, to not only take care of our own internal needs but also,
