My baby girl is 8 months. She has a swollen lymph node at the top of her neck, bottom of skull (occipital?)
It measures 3cmx3cm) she has been referred for an ultrasound scan. It feels quite hard, does not move and is not painful or red. No signs of any infection/fever of any kind. She is also diagnosed with failure to thrive as only 12lbs 4 and delayed in meeting multiple milestones. She does not have much of an appetite and sweats a lot at night and during feeds. She is a very happy and alert little girl. Is it likely to be lymphoma? Scan not until the 13th. It’s been swollen for several weeks. The wait is torture. Thank you for reading

Hello and thanks for posting
I am sorry to hear about the symptoms your baby girl is having and can only imagine what a worrying time this must be for you.
I appreciate all of the waiting and not knowing must be unsettling for you. As hard as this may be, I’m afraid there really is no one at the moment who can tell you any more about what is going on. There could be a number of different explanations, but until more tests are done, no one can know for sure.
Try and keep yourself busy and your thoughts on other things as much as you can as this will help pass the time. I really hope the appointment goes well and you find out more soon. Please get back in touch if you need to or alternatively if you want to chat anything through do call us on 0808 800 4040 anytime Mon-Fri 9am till 5pm.
Best wishes
Naomi
