Dad is dying

My Dad is receiving palliative care for advanced liver cancer. It’s spread to his oesophagus and lymph nodes. I’m so sad. He’s suffering, has lost so much weight and is so low. We lost my mum to cancer in 2016 and it scares me that I have to go through this again. Please can anyone help.

Hi there …

Oh my, it’s a really hard time at the moment…. it’s one of the hardest things we go through…. and so many have to go through loosing a parent … try to take one day at a time … I’ve heard hearing is the last thing to go, so keep talking even when it looks like he’s sleeping .. there’s another thread I just answered who in the same posistion… maybe you could hold each other’s hand …

But know your not alone … and you can put down on here just how you feel… it does help to write down things you can’t say … so sending you a vertual hug… Chrissie… x
