Hi all
I’m tracy I’m 51 years old .my nipple has gone right in and can feel a big lump behind it .I’m currently waiting for appointment from the breast clinic should have been a 2 week wait but due to Covid have not received an appointment as yet.3 weeks later I have called them to be told it’s a 6 week wait. I’m absolutely petrified as if it is something its growing and not being treated..I’m trying to be realy positive and hoping it’s a cyst .but we wont no until I’ve had my appointment. I’ve come on here looking for support as I dont have anyone just me myself and I. Thanks for reading my post xx

Hi, sorry to hear you are having yo wait so long. Just doesn’t seem right at all! I wish there was more information about the changes to how the breast clinic is being run during covid. I’ve seen posts about people getting everything done in one day even get some results and maybe having to wait for biopsy results.
I went to gp last Monday and called Friday to be given an aultrasound tomorrow, but not to discuss anything.
The not knowing is the worst, you can’t help but to fear the worst. Its torture having no information of what to expect the process to be.

Hi Tracy, I know everyone has probably said this, but keep phoning them – sometimes they’ll have a cancellation. It’s easy to feel left behind when you are waiting, and it doesn’t help the stress levels, especially with everything else going on. I wish you the best of luck with this. Fingers crossed it’s just a cyst or lipoma/fibroadenoma. Good luck. xxx

It’s always worth phoning in case they’ve had a cancellation. It’s entirely understandable that you are scared – I had a lump that turned out to be a fibroadenoma, and I was scared all through the process. It’s a scary and stressful thing to be going through. I think the people you talk to when you phone will understand that too, and they won’t think you’re a pain. xxx

That’s good news – actually having an apointment always seems to relieve a little of the stress. Keeping busy is a really good idea too
Will you let us know how it goes?
Best of luck, Tracy xxx
