Hi all,
my mum has stage 4 bowel cancer spread to appendix, liver and peritoneum. She was initially diagnosed just over a year ago and we discovered the spread about a month later, told it was inoperable. Absolutely heart breaking.
My mum has since been through 6 rounds of gruelling chemo and is about to undergo more as they believe there are recent changes due to her symptoms of pain and constipation, vomiting followed by diarrhoea.
These instances of SEVERE pain, not being able to pass wind or stools, followed by vomiting and then eventually diarrhoea were occurring every 2-3 days until around 2 weeks ago.
At this point 2 weeks ago I urged (massively, pleadingly) my mum to try Manuka honey (a very good quality %) and a good quality cannabis oil (CBD). I am scared to say much more as I don’t want to tempt fate but I urge anyone suffering to try this…. there have been no more episodes of this nature (touch wood, I am) since starting this along with eliminating dairy and sugar. There are other things I’d like her to try alongside but are not, shall we say, supported treatments. In the meantime I feel like I’ve helped by easing symptoms and pain, AND, my mum loves the Manuka honey, it’s a luxury she is allowed to eat in such a dire time.
Hope this helps someone!
