If I have to listen to the Hell And Gone commercial one more time I’m going to start committing murders. Otherwise great podcast. The shrill voice of the gall in the commercial every 2min ruins everything.
I don’t know what this guys personal stories are supposed to add to this podcast but it doesn’t work for me. I fast forward through all of that and then the podcast is pretty good.
I think the cases are adequately researched and the writing/narration is good, but breaking each episode into relatively short parts is unnecessary.
Also, in terms of the insomnia aspect and musings about the narrator’s life, those parts are not very well woven in. I feel sorry the narrator has these issues, and it’s really not that I’m rolling my eyes at his pain – just speaking from the perspective of a listener, incorporating those discussions into an otherwise neatly scripted story about an individual crime case without a clear and specific link/purpose for doing so doesn’t make for a compelling listen.
But I do hope he feels better. Having had insomnia myself, I know it’s truly hard to live with.
