I had lymph node biopsy nearly 3wks ago, scar and arm have been fine…a little numb on under part of arm.
But then yesterday I started having lower back pain at both sides and stomach (between hip bone n under breast) pain both sides, also both boobs abit ache.
Is this normal, or should I be concerened…I first thought uti but passing urine as normal no pain or discolouring. Baffling me and due for mastectomy n reconstruction next Tuesday!

I’m sorry about the pain you’re experiencing at the moment Dannii.
Hopefully some of our members who may have had similar pain after their lymph node biopsies will share their advice and experiences with you soon but if you’re worried then it would be best to speak to your medical team as they will be in the best position to let you know whether this is anything to be concerned about.
Wishing you all the best for surgery next week Dannii.
Kind regards,

Hi Danni,

How did your op go? What reconstruction did you end up doing? How are you doing now?
It would be lovely to hear back from you.

Hi
I had diep flap reconstruction straight away but unfortunately 24hrs later it failed they tried to save it but couldn’t so I ended up with just mastectomy. They think it’s because my veins are shot to do with chemo I had b4!
Which one you thinking of?
The pain was bearable but more so the first week, after that not too bad really. Doing ok thanks.

Hi Danni, thanks for your response I am thinking about the diep flat reconstruction too.
Just wondering if I should wait till after treatment or do an immediate recon.
What do you think?

Tbh I wish I’d done surgery before chemo, but didn’t get that option. I also think maybe my reconstruction should have been delayed till mastectomy settled down. Wether this wud of made a difference I’ll never know. They’ve left fair bit of own breast skin in case I want to do in future, but for me I can’t put myself thru all that again or my children.
Good luck, I hope all goes well for u

I appreciate your honesty, I am still 50/50 on immediate or delayed recon, hopefully my appointment with surgeon tomorrow will help make my mind up.
Thanks and I wish you the best of luck also.
Cheers xx
