Web Directories – Submit Your Site

One of the most effective and inexpensive ways to promote your website is to submit your site to popular and high-traffic web directories. It helps your site ranking in the search engine result pages, and it would raise traffic volume to your site significantly.

There are a lot of web directories on the Internet and there are many companies that provide automatic submission service to those directories. But the best way is to submit your site manually to the most popular directories. The benefits of manual submission is that you can customize your submission for each directory such as title, anchor text, and description. Having all the same title, anchor text, and description submitted to hundreds of web directories could be considered to be spam.

Here is the list of the most common web directories.

This is a great list and I have listed with a few of them but I have noticed that there are some that I may have missed so going to have a look at them and see what they are about and then submit. Its great to see that people are still doing directory submissions, cause I have been doing some reading up o the benefits of using them and there are so many different opinions on there use.

Many of the FREE sites are no longer free. People are going to have to pony up some money to get on some of these.
